From Dad To Nikola With Love

January 24, 2012

Dear Nikola:

You are not picking up phone when I call and you are not accepting me as your Skype contact. We used to have more or less frequent e-mail exchange. Last Summer I got you on your cell phone twice and we had short but reasonable conversation. I understand. It could be that at home they managed to turn you against me. It could also be that you are afraid of your mother. Also I have serious reasons that it has something with your CUA football scholarship. CUA staff and probably your coach expressed extensive interest in my online birthday letter to you. Also, your mother's husband snooped to read my letters to you. First time, it was just after you came back from Belgrade so he shamelessly read your birthday letter. The second time was a month and a half ago but dumbass did not know to click on the picture Ha-ha-ha. Nevertheless, although I prefer that we have more private communication, I don't care and I don't hide that I love you more than anything else in the world. I know that one day you will contact me and I will always be here for you. We will have long chats over the phone/Skype like a father and son should have and one day we wwill se each other. It is all up to you, and whatever you do, I will understand because I love you. Just have in mind that every day we don't talk is gone forever.

Love.

Dad (or preferably Tata in Serbian)
